Under the responsibility of: manager, visual production in marketing.

As a seasoned creative producer, you will be responsible for executing visual productions for our editorial content, social media and marketing platforms, from pre-production to post-production. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to drive productions aligned with company goals and resulting in engaging, high-reach brand moments. You must have a keen interest in cultural movements, trends and social behaviors.

Responsibilities

Production – 70 %

  • Execute all aspects of production for small to large projects, from pre-production to post-production, in order to realize the creative vision, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time timely, on budget and accurately
  • Develop plans and timelines for the production and execution of each project, including feasibility checks, location and equipment selection, negotiations with talent, suppliers and partners, confirmation of rights appropriate users and assurance of regulatory compliance
  • Ensure stakeholders receive regular updates allowing for feedback, thus ensuring quick approvals and visibility across projects
  • Identify and note project risks and report them to key stakeholders with clear recommendations for possible solutions
  • Interpret mandates, quantify them and obtain estimates from talent, suppliers and partners for all aspects of each project
  • Manage the entire budget for assigned projects, from creating purchase orders to detailing the budget and submitting invoices, then finalizing everything on time to ensure accurate monthly budget tracking and that talent , suppliers and partners are paid on time
  • Create production schedules to ensure a smooth flow; anticipate and solve any potential problems or obstacles in advance
  • Support talent, vendors and partners and strategically oversee the creative process remotely and on set, ensuring visual content meets business requirements

Operations and training – 20%

  • Apply defined production processes to ensure effective collaboration and communication with key stakeholders
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement for processes, methodologies and work tools in order to optimize production workflows
  • Ensure proper understanding and compliance with company policies by all talent, suppliers and partners
  • Participate in post-mortem meetings for continuous improvement purposes, continuously documenting key learnings and applying lessons learned in future visual productions
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to the entire production team, including but not limited to weekly production meetings
  • Communicate key learnings to the production team and document them for future reference
  • Support day-to-day operations and task delegation among production team members
  • Assist with the training and skill development of junior team members by providing supervision
  • Oversee content studio maintenance, operations, bookings and budget (maintenance and stock equipment) in general

Relations with suppliers and review of the competition – 5%

  • Play an instrumental role in building and managing ongoing relationships with talent, vendors and partners
  • Contribute to the talent development program, providing valuable contacts to relevant departments and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Stay on the lookout for frontline production partners and optimal technical solutions that the team can leverage
  • Review and consistently document visual production competition in relevant industries, identify best practices and find areas for improvement

Documentation and reporting – 5%

  • Establish project key performance indicators
  • Maintain production documents for accurate tracking and proper management of produced content to ensure that all final content and related legal documents are recorded appropriately

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate
  • Minimum of five years of experience producing photo and video shoots
  • Experience managing photo and video shoots in Canada, other locations an asset
  • Proven track record negotiating with talent agencies, vendors and partners
  • Ability to perform basic analysis with Excel or Google spreadsheets
  • Fluency in English and French, both oral and written
  • Flexible schedule depending on production requirements
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed
