Role Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Manager, Inbound Operations is to provide leadership and direction for all of 1st and 2nd shift Inbound Operations as well as other areas as needed. This position is responsible for the productivity, performance, and accuracy of these areas of the operation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ba /Bs degree in a business-related field required, preferably in Supply Chain Management.
  • 5-7 years of experience in fulfillment center operations with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Lean Six Sigma or Green Belt Certification a plus.
  • Proficient with using Ms Office/Google Gsuite applications to process and present data.
  • Knowledge of WMs systems, Rf technology, and Quality measurements & processes.
  • Knowledge of automated order fulfillment systems, e.g. tilt tray sortation, Asrs, pick-to-light, pack-to-light, carrousel, A-Frame, etc.
  • Effectively interact in a team environment with senior leadership, peer group, and relate to and motivate an hourly and salaried associate team.
  • Flexibility in working different shift schedules to include weekends.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills with all levels within the organization including employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

Role Description:

  • Provide leadership to a team of Managers and Leads.
  • Make recommendations and assist in formulation of departmental objectives, policies, and plans.
  • Manage a Goods-to-Person automated system along with supporting fulfillment systems.
  • Plan, examine, analyze and evaluate fulfillment center operations with respect to productivity standards, safety, and customer support.
  • Evaluate current procedures, determining opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing updated processes.
  • Leverage Lean Six Sigma principles to identify and resolve operational problems, ensuring company standards are met and/or exceeded.
  • Responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of training programs for associates to include improving communication between departments and associate development of supervisory skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills.
  • Mentor and develop manager and lead talent to build bench strength.
