Reporting into the Director of Finance, Americas, the Inventory Control Manager, Americas, will be responsible for leading and overseeing inventory control activities across all Stores and E-Concessions of the Region, working cross functionally with Store Directors, Retail Operations, Loss Prevention as well as Kering Finance Shared Service Inventory Control, Customer Service and Sales audit. A Key member of the Finance team, the Inventory Control Manager will contribute to fostering a solid culture of internal control with regards to inventory movements across the whole network, as well as be proactive in the analysis and remediation of inventory control issues to mitigate their financial impacts.

How You Will Contribute

• Ensure adequate control and review protocols for all stock movements
• Review all stock adjustments to ensure that they are all timely submitted and approved by the applicable stakeholders (Store Directors, Retail Operations, Finance, etc.)
• Develop reporting capabilities (either XLS or preferably BI) to ensure stock movements (warehouse to store, store-to-store, etc.) are timely reviewed, received and controlled
• Oversee all merchandise transfers, both for Dos (Dc-to-store, store-to-store, store-to-Dc, cross-border movements) as well as E-Concessions (customer returns, repairs)
• Coordinate with Kering Logistics intercompany transfers and analyze month-end good receipts / invoice receipts
• Partner with Stores (Store Directors, Operations Managers) to timely remediate stock movements and, where applicable, discrepancies
• Oversee the coordination and planning of the yearly physical stock takes, in partnership with the Brand’s Retail Operations team
• Review physical stock take results and implement corrective actions / best practices across all stores in the network, in liaison with Store Operations and Loss Prevention, when applicable
• Ensure stock adjustments are reflected timely and accurately in Sales & Margin analysis / month-end financials, through their processing in the inventory system (JDA)
• Review monthly sales and margin analysis and stock ledgers in coordination with Fssc Finance & accounting
• Liaise with repair center (Kering Shared Service) to ensure that all activities pertaining to repairs (consignment, MOS, credit notes) and corresponding adjustments (MOS) are timely processed and reflected into each store’s on-hand
• Analyze sales / price KPIs to ensure that all price overrides are approved by the appropriate stakeholders and their rationale, and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Review daily e-commerce / e-concession on-hand, sales and returns in coordination with the E-Retail team
• Follow up and review the implementation of adequate procedures and controls for returns and merchandise movements as put in place between E-Retail Team and E-Retail partners
• Involved in the setup and integration of all new Online / E-Retail concessions projects throughout the region

Who You Are

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Inventory Controlling within a Retail business
• Must have advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization
• Solid understanding of Logistics and Retail processes
• Process knowledge associated with an ERP-application (JDA preferred)
• Experience with Bi tools a plus
• Rigor, sense of organization and multi-tasking management
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines while being agile and self-motivating
• Ability to think clearly and calmly when faced with issues or problems
• Ability to work efficiently and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent work ethic
