Job Description

Summary Statement:

This role supports the Category Management Team in understanding financial performance and communicating business results for both their specific category of business and total eCommerce. They are responsible for developing category sales plans and forecasts, tracking and reporting against these targets, and supporting the team with financial modeling of opportunities and risk estimation. This role indirectly reports to the Site Monetization Director to ensure consistency in planning and forecasting methodology and to develop their reporting and data manipulation skills.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop monthly sales (Demand/Gross/Net) and eCommerce KPI (Traffic/Conversion/AOV) plans/forecasts at total category level and for selected top brands
  • Actively track performance against plans and history to understand business trends and improve planning/forecasting accuracy
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of category performance including brand, class, and price type
  • Analyze item level productivity and profitability focusing on new and priority products
  • Provide consistent and frequent communication of financial performance, goals, and expectations
  • Produce weekly reports to highlight financial performance and operational reports to ensure smooth business operations
  • Perform ongoing analysis of all aspects of the business including both sales and inventory and differences between the online and store channels
  • Provide analysis and reporting as needed to support business analysis, meeting preparation, or day to day operations
  • Estimate identified business opportunities and create models for different business scenarios
  • Serve as the reporting expert for the team, understanding available data and methods to obtain
  • Identify business opportunities by leveraging tools providing insight on competition, consumer insights, and the retail industry

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience, luxury retail fashion preferred
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Prior experience with financial modeling and forecasting
  • Comfortable consolidating and analyzing data from multiple sources to deliver actionable insights and recommendations to drive business performance
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to effectively build and manage relationships
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to details and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources
  • High proficiency with MS Office Product Suite
  • High proficiency with reporting tools including Business Objects, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau
  • Ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes and additional software/web-based applications
  • Experience with advanced data manipulation including SQL preferred
  • Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which may include helping other teams
