Job Description

As a Specialist, Development and Deployment of Email Campaigns, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and deployment of email campaigns, push notifications, customer relationship management of low or high complexity using of our customer engagement platform. You should use, create and update a variety of custom templates with ease. You must be able to set up automated customer journeys with dynamic content and applying the technical practices of customer relationship management software. You must have experience with customer engagement platforms or large email service providers (CSPS). Reporting to the Global Outbound Communications team,

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical production process for campaigns sent through our customer engagement platform
  • Improve, create and update a variety of email templates that can support dynamic and personalized content
  • Create premium templates that can easily be used by campaign specialists with minimal technical expertise to build their campaigns (drag and drop)
  • Make templates suitable for a variety of clients and devices (using “Email On Acid”) and troubleshoot code issues as needed
  • Configure, execute and track campaigns and automated email journeys and lifecycle push notifications that contain dynamic content in a SaaS platform such as Braze, including data
  • Ability to create audience-facing segments needed for campaigns or automated marketing journeys and ensure the platform has the required attributes and events
  • Stay current with technical updates, enhancements and changes to our customer engagement platform
  • Continually challenge the status quo by targeting areas for improvement and optimization as well as diagnose problems and work to resolve them
  • Ability to build partnerships and relationships with cross-functional teams (loyalty, data science, design, products) to design and implement projects
  • Iterate and optimize campaigns through continuous testing
  • Set up dashboards for in-platform reporting (ensuring campaigns are properly tagged)
  • Analyze performance results and implement changes based on business recommendations
  • Track campaign deliverability by ISPS
  • Stay on top of the latest email trends and best practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in Html code (strong knowledge of Html5, CSS)
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on email development experience
  • Experience working with large email service providers or customer engagement platforms (preferably Braze)
  • Experience building and testing custom content with Liquid, Handlebars, Ampscript, etc.
  • Experience designing and developing mobile and interactive emails
  • Good understanding of customer relationship management and marketing databases, an asset
  • Knowledge of databases and their structures, and how campaigns are created from customer data in an in-house data system
  • Knowledge of email industry best practices, including contact strategies, targeting and segmentation, A/B testing and analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail, precision work oriented thinker, organized and process oriented person
  • Ability to collaborate with the QA team to validate and ensure flawless product delivery
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment
  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve
  • Ability to actively contribute to SSENSE’s operational knowledge base
