Job Description

Responsibilities:

Development and Execution of local WFJ Education programs:

  • Develop and manage education plan for the Watch and Fine Jewelry categories specific to the US market
  • Create and modify effective education programs and initiatives, leveraging Global directives, across all channels of distribution (retail boutiques and wholesale accounts) focused on skills-based training, product information, behavioral coaching and sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with various teams including Account Executives, Fashion Education, WFJ Retail and Marketing teams on all projects including the development of product specific training documents
  • Oversee the management of the training calendar
  • Oversee the management of the training budget
  • Oversee the management of contracts related to training consultants
  • Lead two direct reports to help execute all training plans as a team

Support and inspire the networks:

  • Execute local strategy for product training and sales development coaching programs for all points of sale (WFJ and Fashion Retail, National Accounts and Independent Accounts), along with the field training team
  • Collaborate on the development of the Retail and MBR action plans with the sales team
  • Manage the training priorities to allow sales targets to be reached focusing on success of new product launches and core basic collections
  • Contribute to the successful management of various sales meetings (i.e. national sales director meeting, category managers meeting, wholesale account sales meetings, etc.)
  • Travel required 25% of the year, including international

Profile:

  • Deep understanding of luxury selling environments (Watches and Jewelry knowledge preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to connect with a sales focused audience and lead presentations with charisma
  • Passionate and curious about the Watch and Fine Jewelry categories and Luxury overall
  • Results oriented, self-motivated and works with a sense of urgency
  • Outgoing with a positive attitude and highly collaborative
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to inspire others into action
  • Comfortable interfacing with all levels of management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving business environment
  • Ability to lead change and drive process improvements in Education programs
  • Watch and Fine Jewelry retail experience strongly preferred

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years sales education and training experience or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role with at least 1 direct report
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical
  • Luxury WFJ competitive landscape understanding preferred
  • Must be highly proficient in PowerPoint
  • GIA certification level 1 a plus
  • Ability to travel both internationally and domestically up to 25%
  • French language skills a plus but not required
  • Experience working in complex, multi-faceted and global business cultures a plus
