Reports to: Assistant Manager, Inventory Flow Operations

As the Visual Presentation Coordinator, you will be responsible for executing and maintaining corporate visual guidelines and aesthetics for Ssense Montreal. You will be in charge of the day-to-day accuracy, pace and efficiency of product reorganization in the retail space and inventory management processes by monitoring the volume of storage used and the rates of sale, to improve and optimize the customer experience before, during and after each touchpoint. You will ensure excellent business flow by quickly identifying, communicating and resolving potential issues to provide an unparalleled customer experience.

Responsibilities

Visual customer experience – 50%

• Realize and maintain a perspective and a narrative based on the profile of the clientele, the seasons, the weather and the special events of the moment. Consider the product in all its aspects: seller, theme, fabric, style, color, price, section and category
• Ensure merchandise visual requirements and brand activations are met on schedule
• Participate in the installation and ongoing maintenance of visual presentations
• Maintain product density and sales per square foot at optimal rates, both in-store and in the back office
• Provide feedback, constructive opinions and strategies to improve overall store sales performance and profitability
• Contribute to enriching the customer experience in store through productivity, presentations and inventory monitoring to ensure exceptional customer service
• Act as a positive brand ambassador; develop and continually enrich your quality perspective through research, in-depth product knowledge and your ability to adapt your styling

Operations – 40%

• Monitor and achieve visual merchandise presentation inventory flow goals using dashboard metrics
• Contribute to maximizing store sales, sales per square foot and inventory management accuracy
• Monitor daily sales to replenish retail space, identify needs, and communicate and ensure the highest standards of visual presentation to encourage growth through optimal product assortment and presentation
• Participate in the process of inventorying arrivals and exits of products
• Maintain the highest quality storage onsite and in offsite facilities
• Participate in operational activities related to the appointment model and be responsible for ensuring the quality that Ssense promises to its clientele
• Practice loss prevention in all aspects of risk management, physical security, inventory management and transaction accuracy
• Ensure compliance of the store’s operational activities, health and safety standards as well as the maintenance of company policies

Leadership – 10%

• Participate in the formation and development of exceptional customer-focused teams
• Encourage collaboration between visual presentation coordinators, sales staff and support staff

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in luxury visual presentation, styling, hospitality or customer service
• College diploma or bachelor’s degree in fashion, design, management, or a related field preferred
• Demonstrated experience in building trust in a cross-functional work environment
• Strong knowledge of products sold at Ssense, including cultural position/legacy, art direction, and brand relevance
• Ability to lift heavy boxes (15 kg)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Comfortable working with the Microsoft Office suite, the Google suite and with computers and the Web
• Flexibility for working hours that may vary due to business demands
