Position

Celine is a fast-growing French and Leather-Goods Couture House that belongs to the Lvmh group driven by a new holistic and creative project led by Hedi Slimane, its Artistic, Creative, and Image Director.

Celine is seeking a Logistics Manager for the Celine, North America.

Your Work Environment

The Logistics Manager will play an integral role in driving excellence in the management of all Logistics functions related to the movement, storage, and importation of Celine products.

They will serve as the primary Logistics contact for all Celine departments and perform all internal communications.

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading the change and continuous improvement within the logistics scope while driving third-party logistics providers including warehousing, transportation, and brokerage.

This role will support the Company’s short- and long-term objectives in terms of growth, level of service, cost, and agility.

Manage Importation and Transportation

  • Secure Importation of Goods, coordinating with Celine, Us Customs, brokers, and freight forwarders
  • Ensure stability and drive a reduction in overall transit time (origin to Us delivery, origin to Canada delivery)
  • Organize periodic reviews of relationships with Forwarders; monitor and control the level of service and Transportation costs
  • Own the Transportation cost and budget: contribute to the Budget elaboration and cost projection, monitor invoice coding, and payment process, track actual spent vs. budget, identify gaps, and define remedy actions if necessary

Customs

  • Be the primary contact within Celine between Customs / Authorities for all issues – including Fish and Wildlife and Food and Drug
  • Ensure customs rules are implemented in the system to optimize the process and allow a seamless transition into the zone
  • Be the primary contact for Canadian flow, including Ceta analysis and direct flow with Cbsa

Manage 3Pl and Logistics Vendors to Deliver Targeted Service Levels and Costs

  • Own the 3Pl / vendor contracts and rates for brokerage, warehousing, trucking activity, and other freight
  • Define and supervise critical metrics, prioritizing formal reviews with both internal and external partners
  • Organize periodic reviews of relationship with all 3Pls & vendors; monitor and control level of service and Logistics costs for 3Pls and all vendors
  • Own the logistics cost and budget: contribute to the Budget elaboration and cost projection, monitor invoice coding, and payment process, track actual spent vs. budget, identify gaps, and define remedy actions if necessary
  • Act as liaison between 3Pl / vendors and all members of Celine supply chain, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Anticipate spending dedicated time at Primary 3Pl location for on-site support and process improvement implementations
  • Coordinate Warehousing activities including inventory management and reconciliation with 3Pl Wms
  • Manage contract with 3pl logistic provider (periodic review/evaluation)
  • Manage budget for 3pl to ensure responsibility in cooperation with Financial and Operations goal

Profile

Drive Continuous Improvement and Projects

  • Drive continuous improvement:
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities (processes, organization, reporting and systems)
  • Implement changes to adapt to the evolving Logistics context, support company strategy and internal clients’ requirements
  • Leverage new projects and systems
  • Lead ad-hoc Logistic projects:
  • Support the vision and goals of Celine as related to the Logistical functions
  • Work closely with 3Pl, It, and related Departments to ensure proper change management
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to deliver added value to the Operations department and to the Company

People Management

  • Communicate strategy to the team
  • Set challenging and achievable goals for each team member
  • Recruit, animate, motivate, train and develop teams and potential

Profile

  • Previous experience importing goods into the Us, with a successful record of driving reduction in time and cost
  • 5-year previous experience in logistics, 2 years management experience required
  • Experience with 3rd Party Logistics required
  • Strong Excel required
  • Edi experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledge, understanding, and passion for the fashion and luxury-goods industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Working familiarity with various Erp systems (Sap/Jde) preferred, as well as the ability to operate inside of Wms
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • English Proficient, French a plus
  • Organization and time efficiency; with an ability to handle tight turnaround timeframes
