Job Description

Position

Celine is a fast-growing French and Leather-Goods Couture House that belongs to the Lvmh group driven by a new holistic and creative project led by Hedi Slimane, its Artistic, Creative, and Image Director.

Celine is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to manage all generalist Hr activities for the Celine Retail teams across North America.

Your Work Environment

This experience will enable you to Key areas of focus including Employee Relations, Development & Retention, and Reporting & Analysis. This position will support, coach, and council managers and employees across the retail network.

Your Impact

Employee Relations

  • Main point of contact for all employee relations issues across North American retail stores
  • Manage harassment claims, conduct investigations, mediate contentious situations
  • Manage performance improvement plans, involuntary terminations, and lawsuits
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment and safety laws
  • Manage performance improvement plans, involuntary terminations, and partner with legal on employee relations escalation

Compensation & Benefits/Payroll/Budget/Data Reporting

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and staffing plans across retail doors – partnering closely with the Finance team, brand leaders, and Hr Controller
  • Ensure employee compensation is in line with budget and external benchmarks; perform market research as needed
  • Manage annual Icr process
  • Manage headcount management and terminations
  • Support for Leave of Absence and Worker Compensation

People Development

  • Coach Managers in the field on leadership and technical skills
  • Execute programs that drive the development of (high potentials) – utilize Lvmh & Fashion Group offerings when appropriate
  • Support Organization Management Review (Omr) efforts
  • Manage annual Performance Review (Pcr) process for retail teams

Learning & Development

  • Provide administrative support for registration, enrollment, and attendance of Learning and Development initiatives
  • Assist with ongoing efficacy and analytics of all programs/participants to shape existing & new programs

Talent Acquisition

  • Liaise with the Talent Acquisition team to support managers at corporate and store levels on how to effectively source and assess talent, engage & develop teams
  • Key partnership in the compensation approval & staffing requisition process
  • Work with leadership to identify proper organizational structures, proficiencies, and processes

General

  • Liaise with Maison Human Resource teams in Europe and Lvmh Inc. in the Us
  • Ensure the proper communication and interpretation of all Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Build effective relationships with internal customers and internal and external resources

Profile

Keys For Sucess

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of relevant progressive Hr experience
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Experience in luxury/fashion business a plus

Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of labor laws in the Us and Canada and demonstrates strong Hr sensibility and critical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.
  • Superior organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership and retail associates
  • Ability to travel
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Languages: Fluent in other languages (s) will be an advantage.

Additional Information

The compensation for this position ranges from $90k – $110k (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
