Job Description

This individual will report to the Head of Trade Marketing & Events in the coordination and implementation of all IWC visual merchandising and display functions for US and Canada (along with physical presence for West Coast territory) boutiques, shop-in-shops and multi-brand distributors. Chief functions of the position include partnering with HQ to facilitate seasonal visual changes, product launches and store openings, communicating visual initiatives to sales managers and retailers and project managing vendors for animation rollouts, installations and boutique maintenance.

Additionally, this role will support the Store Planning Manager, in the implementation of all IWC new store openings and display functions for boutiques, shop-in-shops and multi-brand distributors. Chief functions of the position include partnering with HQ to facilitate furniture design changes, sourcing collateral for store openings, communicating project status to sales managers and retailers and project managing vendors for millwork, installations and boutique maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Visual Merchandising

  • Oversee the visual merchandising operations and strategy for the North American market delivering a best-in-class representation of the IWC Brand.
  • Manage the sourcing and distribution of visual assets for 95+ wholesale outposts and 15 luxury boutiques.
  • Lead the animation wave execution in the physical POS world, blending local priorities with global initiatives to be as relevant as possible to the market.
  • Execute global visual merchandising guidelines in all points of sale across region.
  • Oversee ordering, tracking and installation of visual assets across all points of sale.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of visual collateral with vendors.
  • Maintain regular presence in stores across the region to ensure consistency and correct implementation of visual guidelines.
  • Communicate visual changes & updated calendar of animations and installations to boutique sales staff, regional sales managers and relevant corporate teams.
  • Partner with regional sales managers to assess visual needs in the wholesale space, addressing them in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain an archive of photos from all market visits.
  • Train retailers and boutique sales staff on best practice in visual merchandising in accordance with brand standards.
  • Provide retailers and boutique sales staff with guidelines for visual changes as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues in boutiques and shop-in-shops to appropriate vendor; see through all issues to resolution.
  • Develop custom displays for specific doors where standard issue visual materials cannot be used.

Store Planning

  • Support the Store Planning Manager on all phases of the opening process with constant communication between HQ Design team, millworker, retailer and Regional sales team with updates, changes to design, costs, and installation.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Team to gather information on new account for Project brief proposal to HQ.
  • Place orders, track and monitor installation of new PLV assets across all new/existing boutiques, shop-in-shops and multi-brand environments.
  • Liaison between retailer and global counterparts to communicate any design changes or feedback as well as track approvals.
  • Lead in tracking progress of millworkers and often-changing retailer opening dates.
  • Communicate weekly all new project status to internal, external, and suppliers.
  • Create Espace Agreement Contracts for retailer’s approval to proceed with payment terms.
  • Manages bill-back process for 50/50 project splits with retailer.
  • Report maintenance issues in boutiques and shop-in-shops to appropriate vendor; see through all issues to resolution.
  • Partner with Headquarters to develop custom displays for specific doors where standard issue visual materials cannot be used.
  • Monitor generic point of sale PLV conditions, displays and signage; provide recommendation on replenishment PLV orders.
  • Support Trade Marketing team with all functions whether ordering PLV, creating planograms and renderings, attend account visits and openings, repair follow-up, budget analysis and sourcing most cost efficient supplier.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience, preferably within the luxury and/or fine jewelry sector.
  • Interest in visual merchandising/store planning and demonstrated aptitude for art and design.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 65% of the time.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work outside of regular business hours.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and understand floorplans.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Sap systems (or similar) is preferred.
