Sales Advisor
The Sales Consultant develops close and lasting relationships with customers to increase sales, level of service and loyalty. The remuneration inherent in this function is based on commissions and directly proportional to the volume of sales achieved.
Specific responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provides excellent service to all customers
- Exceeds all sales and service goals and objectives
- Builds a loyal personal customer base by constantly acquiring new customers, advancing relationships with existing customers and retaining returning customers
- Attends all training sessions, including product briefings, vendor briefings, and Holt Renfrew workshops
- Performs shelf rearrangement, visual merchandising, price changes and any related tasks supporting sales
- Regularly communicates with personal customers by phone, mail or electronically regarding store events, product inquiries, after-sales follow-up, birthdays, etc.
- Addresses all customer service concerns and works with sales management on any that are not within guidelines
- Observes all health and safety requirements and policies
- Performs other assigned duties
The ideal candidate must:
- At least 4 years of experience in a commission-based sales environment
- Have consistent sales performance and demonstrated results in meeting and exceeding required sales quota
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Be very collaborative; work with and through others in a team-oriented environment
- Leverage social media platforms to gain exposure as a fashion influencer and build a personal brand
- Adept at using multiple technology channels to strengthen existing relationships, drive new customer acquisition, and stay in touch
- Use the Holt Renfrew 360 app to stay in touch with customers and make targeted suggestions based on purchase history and preferences
- Proactively reach out to customers to share a hand-picked perspective of new arrivals that match customers’ fashion preferences
- Have a good understanding of current and emerging fashion trends
- Possess broad product knowledge across all store merchandise categories
- Take initiative to keep abreast of new merchandise deliveries across all divisions to maximize sales potential

Sales Associate
The Sales Associate develops deep, long lasting relationships with customers that lead to an increase in sales, service, and loyalty. Sales Associate compensation is commission-based and is directly tied to sales volume results
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Consistently deliver extraordinary service to all customers
- Exceed all sales and service goals and targets
- Build a loyal personal client base by constantly acquiring new customers, developing existing clients, and retaining loyal clients
- Attend all educational sessions offered including product knowledge, vendor, and Holt Renfrew seminars
- Perform floor recovery, visual merchandising, price change, and related sales support tasks
- Communicate regularly with personal clients through phone, mail, and electronic methods regarding in-store events, merchandise requests, sales follow-up, birthdays, etc
- Resolve all customer service issues and partner with selling management on any issues outside of guidelines
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
- Perform other duties, as assigned
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of 4+ years experience in a commission-based luxury sales environment
- Consistent sales performance with demonstrated results in achieving and exceeding sales quota required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holiday availability
- Highly collaborative; working with and through others in a team-oriented environment
- Leverages social media platforms to promote themselves as a fashion influencer and build personal brand
- Skilled at using multiple channels of technology to strengthen existing relationships, drive new client acquisition & stay connected
- Proactively reaches out to clients to share a curated view of new receipts that are aligned with their clients fashion preferences
- Has a strong understanding of current and emerging trends in fashion
- Possesses broad range of product knowledge across all merchandise categories in the store
- Takes initiative to stay informed on new merchandise deliveries across all commodities to maximize selling potential
