Job Description

Overview:

The Senior Director of E-Commerce will play a pivotal role in DY’s online acceleration. This critical role is responsible for managing and building an internal digital operations team as well as the technical management of external third parties. This individual must be passionate and relentless about customer journey and user experience. This role will partner with their manager to increase ecommerce conversion, customer satisfaction with the online experience and oversee the daily management of the website. The Senior Director of E-Commerce will leverage customer data, analytics, and insights to optimize an elevated end-to-end category experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the digital strategic plans to deliver successful financial results including web merchandising, content authoring, third party management, and new feature and functionality development, ensuring a frictionless, best-in-class experience, including documentation, post-launch training and on-going program management.
  • Actively manage third-party relationships as the main point of contact. Ensure and maintain a positive relationship while acting on behalf of DY at all times.
  • Leading the team in execution of Digital Merchandising business plans and monitoring progress against plan to ensure effective prioritization.
  • Actively applying customer, product and site analytics and utilizing a/b testing to develop strategic and tactical direction.
  • Work closely with the Creative, Merchandising and Marketing teams to create website experiences that are congruent with ongoing marketing campaigns and provide insights on how to optimize products and content across touch points. Oversee bi-monthly/seasonal refreshes of content on website.
  • Oversee Ecommerce Merchandising function, which includes the enablement of new product introductions inclusive of product copy, imagery, categorization, and merchandising.
  • Partner with the Director of Analytics to understand customer conversion funnel and provide strategies for navigation improvements; Develops initiatives that increase conversion at each level of the customer shopping experience.
  • Analyzes test and site data to identify key customer pain points and opportunities for refinement, new solutions, and growth.
  • Optimize site functionality: landing pages, shopping categories, product detail pages and checkout to guide customers through an improved ecommerce funnel.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years professional experience, preferably in a multichannel retail environment required.
  • Substantial experience in multi-channel or direct to consumer ecommerce.
  • Proven experience with implementing content and merchandising tools as well as successful change management and adoption practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in balancing the creative aspects of building effective ecommerce customer experiences while achieving KPI’s.
  • Proven experience establishing vision and goals; developing strategic and tactical plans; and leading cross-divisional teams in accomplishing key strategic initiatives.
  • Experience managing the day-to-day operations of an e-commerce platform, preferably Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Good understanding of web design and web analytics, preferably Google Analytics.
  • Strong project, analytical, communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify and translate goals and objectives into strategies, plans and tactics.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Exceptional computer, mobile platform, and digital proficiency.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field required

Work Model: Hybrid (3 Days in office / 2 Days remote)
