Job Description

Reporting to: Assistant Store Manager, Sales

As a Personal Stylist Assistant, you will be responsible for shaping exceptional walk-in shopping experiences for our clientele. These experiences will allow you to cultivate important customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor, both in-store and online, to provide the best possible customer experience. Through your willingness and enthusiasm to engage with customers, you will contribute to the team culture and foster creative exploration of the space and the SSENSE product catalog. You must know how to foster a positive work environment that aligns with SSENSE brand values ​​and helps achieve key company goals.


Sales performance – 30%

  • Achieve sales targets related to visit pattern, KPIs and sales for all in-store activations by ensuring an excellent level of customer experience, in line with SSENSE Montreal’s brand strategy
  • Act as a positive brand ambassador, continually developing and improving styling abilities through product knowledge, adaptable styling and flawless execution

Customer experience – 40%

  • Create and execute personalized and unique styling experiences ensuring that every customer visit is exceptional
  • Cultivate genuine and loyal customer relationships through database management and customer engagement before, during and after customer visits
  • Help customers to find solutions to their problems that satisfy all parties involved and improve the customer experience
  • Provide fluid communication and follow up on customer requests to provide them with an exceptional experience
  • If necessary, contribute to operational activities related to the appointment model, taking responsibility for delivering on the customer promise

Operations – 20%

  • Ensure the POS experience is accurate and efficient, leveraging SSENSE systems and technology where necessary
  • Contribute to brand launches, exclusive collections and in-store activations
  • Participate in loss prevention in all areas of physical security, inventory management and transaction accuracy
  • Ensure the proper functioning of store operations, health and safety, maintenance, as well as the application of company policies
  • Maintain current visual direction by communicating and ensuring the highest standards of visual presentation

Team Leadership – 10%

  • Contribute to the creation and development of best-in-class, customer-centric teams
  • Foster collaboration between sales and support functions


  • A minimum of one year of experience in luxury retail, hospitality or customer service
  • College or university degree in fashion, business, management or a related field, an asset
  • Experience using a point of sale system
  • Excellent knowledge of the brands offered by SSENSE , including their creative direction, history and technical information on their clothing
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes (15 kg)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Web and IT
  • Hours and days of work may vary depending on business requirements
