SSENSE is looking for an HR Coordinator to support the Human Resources and Operations team during the upcoming Spring-Summer peak season. This is an exciting time to join us as we will be hiring hundreds of seasonal employees.

Responsibilities

  • Create the profile of new seasonal employees in the security and payroll systems
  • Coordinate and act as HR point of contact during onboarding sessions for new employees
  • Maintain all electronic employee records and personnel data in our HR systems
  • Approve employee work hours in the payroll system and proactively investigate discrepancies between payroll and employee work hours.
  • Produce employment confirmation letters and other HR support letters as needed
  • Generate standard HR reports on demand and help create analytics
  • Ensure proper tracking of all seasonal employee training hours
  • Respond to and resolve “front line” employee inquiries including, but not limited to, responding to general HR administrative matters, such as payroll inquiries, vacations, employee checks, etc. employment, benefits, company policies, etc.
  • Audit employee contract end dates and follow up with management to confirm next steps, if any
  • Coordinate and draft letters relating to the extension or termination of contractual employee contracts
  • Disable access for employees leaving the organization
  • Support the International Mobility team in monitoring work permit expiry dates
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of new procedures and policies and new HR tools
  • Work on ad hoc tasks and projects when required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, completed or in the process of being completed
  • A minimum of one year of work experience in a fast-paced and/or customer service environment
  • Previous experience in recruitment or human resources, an asset
  • Experience in the retail, manufacturing, distribution or operations industries; an advantage
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written
  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word) and/or with the Google suite (Docs, Sheets)
  • Experience with a human resources management or payroll system (ADP, Ceridian, Workday, etc.), an asset
  • Flexible work schedule including days, evenings or weekends as needed
