Job Description

The Beauty Consultant is responsible for developing close and lasting relationships with customers to increase sales, level of service and loyalty.

Specific responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Consistently delivers an extraordinary service and sales experience to all customers.
  • Exceeds all personal sales and service goals.
  • Exceeds all brand objectives related to sales and service.
  • Builds a loyal personal customer base by constantly acquiring new customers, advancing relationships with existing customers and retaining loyal customers.
  • Shares in-depth product knowledge with entire store sales team.
  • Maintains lasting relationships with buyers, suppliers and the sales manager .
  • Drive brand sales by identifying key marketing opportunities, executing events, making assortment recommendations, etc.; regularly communicates his suggestions to the management of the store.
  • Attends all educational sessions, including product information sessions, supplier sessions, and Holt Renfrew seminars.
  • Performs shelf rearrangement, merchandising, price changes and any related tasks supporting sales.
  • Regularly communicates with personal customers by phone, mail or electronically regarding store events, product inquiries, after-sales follow-up, birthdays, etc.
  • Resolves customer service issues and works with sales management on any difficulties not covered by guidelines.
  • Complies with all health and safety policies and requirements.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • High school diploma
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets
  • Highly collaborative; works with and through others in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires a strong ability to multi-task under minimal supervision
  • Ability to deal with a variable schedule depending on the needs of the clientele, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • At least 2 years of experience in a commission-based sales environment
  • Make-up artist or esthetician    diploma required for certain ranges
  • Previous luxury retail experience, preferably in a luxury environment
  • Perfectly bilingual French and English

  • Contribution to financial objectives
  • Individual objectives linked to the achievement of department objectives
  • Feedback from internal and external customers
