Reports to: Senior Director, Finished Good Production, Planning and Procurement

Overview

Reporting to Senior Director of Finished Goods Procurement, the Senior Manager is a key member of our organization. Role is responsible for leading our Southeast Asia production operations to ensure timely delivery of orders. Implement business strategies assigned by executives. Consistently provide accurate, timely and concise communication and reporting to colleagues and senior management. Pro-actively facilitate and collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to ensure company objectives are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with strategic manufacturing partners as well as leading members of internal DY departments
  • Key communicator, driving on time finished good production delivery for SE Asia suppliers
  • Audit supplier work in progress to ensure reporting integrity
  • Evaluate current and future business needs to assess, manage and mitigate potential risks to collection deadlines and key initiatives.
  • Communicate with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
  • Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals.
  • Provide situational leadership at an advanced level
  • Facilitate regular cross functional team meetings with Quality, Engineering and Component Procurement to troubleshoot and resolve production and/or quality issues
  • Analyze data and drive reporting to support established strategies
  • Plan, organize and oversee daily activities of the production team, provide support and assist in problem solving
  • Construct and execute professional development plans for staff directed at career growth and development
  • Mentor, educate, recruit, train and retain potential DY talent as needed
  • Perform related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in production management or related field required (Jewelry industry preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership, innovative, focused and results driven; curious.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to pivot with minimal effort.
  • Proactive work ethic and ability to act in an ethical, honest and professional manner at all times
  • Ability to accurately follow detailed processes and procedures
  • Thrives in a team environment, but also able to work independently
  • Strong communication skills with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Understanding of business and management principles
  • Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, ideally with an emphasis in business, supply chain or other related relevant fields

Travel: International travel required, multiple trips per year

Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
