Role Overview
Van Cleef & Arpels is looking for a Regional Visual Merchandiser, South to join the Visual Merchandising team and to support our South boutiques. This position is fundamental in maintaining and implementing the Maison’s visual standards in our South Region boutiques; and ensures a consistent client journey throughout our retail network. The Regional Visual Merchandiser, South, will be our merchandising expert, traveling extensively up to 60% + of the time to support the boutiques with in-store merchandising, product launches, events, special animations, store openings and everything in between to make sure our boutiques are kept to the highest standards. Communication in this role is vital, as you will be the liaison between the boutiques and corporate teams on all related to VM, zoning/marketing, Store Planning, and the overall appearance of the boutique. This role will be based in Miami, FL.
Responsibilities
Maintain Vm alignment by implementing VM Zoning Plans and Guidelines in the West Boutiques through Visual Merchandising practices including:
- Ensure Visual Guidelines are being implemented
- Monthly visits to update Visual Merchandising
- Monthly/or as needed visits to the boutiques to support special animation installations
- Create and implement boutique zoning with Boutique directors and VM Manager
- Communicate regularly with Visual, Marketing, PR teams to replace/update merchandise on display and anticipate product moves, photo shoots and consignments
- Train/Work with boutique teams on Visual Merchandising
- Ensure correct PLV and Signage is displayed
- Monitor condition and order replacement PLV & Signage as needed
- Create Monthly Visual Merchandising Reports/recaps to share with Visual Merchandising Manager, Marketing, Supply chain, Boutique Security
- Create quarterly reports of the Visual Merchandising, evaluating and summarizing outcomes with the marketing team of the store zoning and visible assortment.
Support Event Launches, Special Events and Window Animations
- Plan and implement detailed zoning for new collection launches, focuses, high jewelry rotations, special events and store initiatives with Boutique Directors, VM Manager and Marketing.
- Liaise with marketing on model looks and merchandising updates needed on the boutique floor for events.
- Onsite at events to implement VM needs.
- Work with security to adjust window value for special events
- Communicate, coordinate with vendors, and oversee window animations
- Coordinating and shooting VM directives that are sent to boutiques monthly
Maintain Overall Boutique Appearance
- Store Planning/Boutique Maintenance: Liaise, record and/report in Yoobic with SP on repairs in boutique including lighting, cases, walls, baseboards, chairs, etc.
- Retail Ops: Quarterly Report to retail ops team a suggested maintenance/reordering list to include desk trays, pads, table linens and other accessories
- Libraries: maintain/update library appearance
- Work with florist to make sure weekly flowers follow guidelines, are fresh and delivered on time.
Support Vm for store opening
- Install/Merchandise for opening
- Create and maintain up to date VM in store binders
- Train store staff on PLV and VM practices
Assist VM Manager on largescale installations
- Work with production company on all aspects of project including maintaining project briefs, give feedback, schedule site surveys, schedule installations/removals
- Communicate with boutiques to schedule installations/removals
- Work with Store Planning to repair damages that occur after installations are removed
Qualifications
- BA or Visual Merchandising Certificate
- 2 Plus year visual merchandising or retail experience preferred. Luxury experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint and excel.
- Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- SAP knowledge a plus
- Must be enthusiastic professional able to receive constructive criticism
- Must be proactive and open to updates
- Needs to be able to take good quality photos
- Need to be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time
- Ability to occasionally work outside of regular hours (overnights) to support events as needed
- This candidate should have direct merchandising and in store experience with extreme attention to detail and perfection. Experience with fine jewelry a plus.
- Excellent team player and interpersonal skills; the ability to interact with all levels within the company
- Ability to travel 60% of the time and must have a driver’s license.
