Job Description

Role Summary:

  • Inspects building structures for needed repairs or potential malfunction risks.
  • Perform electrical maintenance to include, but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and / or fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.)
  • Perform plumbing maintenance. (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying of new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and/or similar devices.)
  • Perform carpentry, painting, or masonry work. (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes. Hang doors, fitting locks, and handles, etc)
  • Reconfigures, installs, positions modular office/cubicles to include furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, and file cabinets.
  • Maintain maintenance equipment in good working order while meeting departmental standards of 5S requirements and machine functionality.
  • Must successfully complete the TNDC PIV certification program.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma required.
  • Skilled Trades Certification required or 2 – 6 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Must have understanding of English language both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate understanding of English during the interview process.
  • Completion of Technical Certification preferred in one of the following listed fields. (Electrician, HVAC, Carpentry, Allen Bradley PLC and Conveyance)
  • Ability to initiate, lead, and complete maintenance projects with moderate complexity using considerable judgment.
  • Ability to recommend solutions or procedures for new assignments.
  • Possess articulate verbal and written communication skills. Communicates in a timely and appropriate manner to all levels.
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Must be able to work in an elevated position.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to properly wear required PPE. (safety glasses, gloves, electrical or welding masks, Tyvek suits, etc).
  • Must be able to work in or with the following:
    • Lubricating Fluids
    • Cleaning Fluids / Chemicals
    • Paints / Solvents
    • Bio Waste
    • Batteries / Acids
