Retail Operations Specialist

Position

Overview:

The Retail Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing operational excellence in the day to day in country execution of operations initiatives and leveraging best practices within the retail stores. In partnership with the stores’ leadership team, Regional Operations Managers and Retail Performance Directors, the role is responsible for liaising with global and regional groups and representing retail needs on projects as well as identifying and implementing systems and process improvements while ensuring optimal sales support.

Profile

Operation responsibilities:

• Manage Operation daily tasks: store supply ordering process, including printed materials, office supplies, uniforms and stock keeping needs
• Manage the store packaging ordering process, including forecast completion, and emergency orders
• Approval of vendor invoices for stores
• Operation Budget management
• Conduct Operations Audits
• Update Operation guidelines for process optimization
• Ensure the product handling between Stores, from Store to Outlets, liaising with Local involved Functions
• Aid in enforcing store policies & procedures, conduct store audits
• Development & maintenance of operational training tools/systems
• Assist in the project management/coordination of store openings
• Sample sales and friends & family operation management: support before, during and after selling events
• Logistical management of seasonal Sample Sales, including supply ordering, and scheduling with vendors/venue management
• Partner with the Director of Retail Operations to execute day to day operational tasks and any changes or updates relating to special projects that will need to be implemented in stores. Ensure that all systems enhancements are clearly communicated and consistently implemented across all stores. Identify operational gaps and training needs to ensure consistency in our store
• Communicate to all stores on operational updates, issues, compliance as it relates to new processes and procedural changes for the country
• Support store team with proper process of inventory management
• Identify opportunities for improving current processes and standardizing procedures to maximize resources and increase efficiencies in stores.
• Identify ways to streamline operations and propose sustainable changes. Partner with central counterparts to establish best practices. (i.e. Global Sales Operations, Security, Internal Audit, etc.).
• Partner with retail management on addressing operational questions or concerns on policies/procedures.

Operation Training Support:

• Organize training library platform
• Support in content creation and video editing
• Manage training attendance
• Create feedback surveys and quiz
• Create tools and platforms to best support business initiatives

Additional information

Skills and abilities required:

• College degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant retail experience, store experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask under high pressure
• Problem solving skills
• Project management skills
• Ability to effectively work independently, as well as within a team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Able to travel 30%+
