Job Description

Summary

The Sales Experience Manager leads the team to provide exceptional experiences for all clients, achieving or exceeding the boutique’s goals. This role involves motivating the team to cultivate each client encounter into an ongoing and trusted relationship that will continue to drive the Cartier legacy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and care service team to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and KPI’s.
  • Prepare and analyze regular sales reporting and Maison tools for business development.
  • Establish strong rapport with partners in Corporate and leaders across the Maison.
  • Assess local market opportunities to implement a proactive and effective sales and client development strategy.
  • Strategize outreach to local prestige market and cultivate current prestige partnerships.
  • Develop business acumen based on data and local market intelligence.
  • Build a high performing team by coaching and providing consistent feedback.
  • Lead and develop teams in partnership with boutique leader/HR on succession and career planning.
  • Communicate regularly on Maison strategies, boutique targets, and industry news.
  • Manage the complexity of the day-to-day business operations to support the team.
  • Lead and drive boutique Client Development and Client Experience action plans.
  • Plan, curate, and execute plans for exceptional client experiences.
  • Identify client development gaps and create solutions and strategies to execute.
  • Lead face to face VIP experiences and client interactions.
  • Champion change as a positive and necessary part of the boutique’s success.
  • Ensure team members adhere to all procedures/compliance.
  • Optimize boutique controllable operating expenses and effective budget oversight.
  • Promote knowledge, adoption, and accountability of tools in an effective way.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • 7 to 10 years of management experience, especially in luxury retail or hospitality.
  • Experience managing direct reports and leading leaders.
  • MS Office experience required; SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Must be available to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaborative approach with ability to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Proactive approach to analyzing business and human resource needs.

Boost sales through omni channel and out of home base selling

  • Educates self and client on merchandise, events, promotions, policy and services

  • Graciously takes returns and offers options based on client’s needs
  • Takes an omnitude approach to identify and recommend merchandise across all channels

Cultivate and grow client base

  • Cultivates the client relationship through personalized connection
  • Acquires and builds client base primarily through forming relationships with new clients and retaining/building spend of existing clients
  • Ability to strategize own business and be self‐motivated; takes initiative to increase individual productivity through out of home base selling and strong client relationships
  • Utilizes digital tools and social media to connect with clients, serve their needs, and follow up as necessary
  • Proactively utilizes mobile devices and selling technology to communicate with clients and expand the business

Champion operational excellence

  • Assists in operational tasks (actively maintains selling floor, fills in stock, cleans fitting rooms, returns merchandise to other departments)
  • Ensures audit compliance

  • Partners with others to provide the best client experience
  • Actively creates a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration
  • Maintains positive working relationships throughout the company
