Job Description

A prestigious luxury fashion brand is seeking an experienced and dynamic Shop Manager to lead our boutique within Nordstrom at Valley Fair. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a passion for luxury retail, and a dedication to delivering an unparalleled shopping experience to our discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.

Customer Experience:
  • Ensure every customer receives a personalized and memorable shopping experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering styling advice and product knowledge to enhance their shopping journey.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

Sales and Performance:
  • Drive sales to meet and exceed store targets, implementing effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with Nordstrom and brand management to develop and execute sales plans and promotions.

Visual Merchandising:
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, ensuring the store is always beautifully presented and reflective of the brand.
  • Implement seasonal floor sets and displays, aligning with brand guidelines and directives.

Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Conduct regular stock checks, managing replenishments and transfers efficiently.
  • Minimize stock loss through effective security measures and stock control practices.

Reporting and Administration:
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, analyzing key performance metrics and providing insights to senior management.
  • Manage store expenses, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in luxury retail management, preferably within a high-end fashion brand.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A passion for luxury fashion and a keen understanding of high-end brand values.

Enhance the client experience

  • Graciously takes returns and offers options based on client’s needs
  • Takes an omnitude approach to identify and recommend merchandise across all channels

Cultivate and grow client base

  • Cultivates the client relationship through personalized connection
  • Acquires and builds client base primarily through forming relationships with new clients and retaining/building spend of existing clients
  • Ability to strategize own business and be self‐motivated; takes initiative to increase individual productivity through out of home base selling and strong client relationships
  • Utilizes digital tools and social media to connect with clients, serve their needs, and follow up as necessary
  • Proactively utilizes mobile devices and selling technology to communicate with clients and expand the business

Champion operational excellence

  • Assists in operational tasks (actively maintains selling floor, fills in stock, cleans fitting rooms, returns merchandise to other departments)
  • Ensures audit compliance
