Main Purpose

The FP&A Manager is an integral part of the planning, analysis and reporting of Cartier North America’s consolidated results. Based in New York City and reporting to the FP&A Director, this role provides the opportunity to analyze financial data, manage the holistic Cartier North America strategic planning and estimate cycles (e.g. Monthly Close, Planning Bu/Le/Rf, cash flow), and create presentations to senior Cartier and Richemont management. This role will also specifically lead all Fp&A activities for Staff costs, and Headcount planning in partnership with our Human Resources department and cash flow planning with the different stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Staff costs:

• Preparing accurate staff costs and Hc forecasts across different departments and business lines
• Monthly review of actual vs. budget and prior year analysis for all cost centers, explanations of key variance drivers, and identification of cost saving actions
• Develop & maintain monthly scorecard/dashboard to track key KPIs related to employee costs and key metrics (Hc, staff costs, productivity, % of sales, Leavers, hires, Attrition rate, etc.)
• Maintain historical trend analysis for all employee related costs and Hc
• Be the point of contact with Cartier HQs Senior Finance HR controller
• Recommend optimal business strategies based on historical performance, predictive analytics, and scenario-based analysis
• Advise and consult with delivery, HR, and finance leadership on long term and short-term workforce strategy

Cash Flow:

• Leading the preparation of annual cash budget and monthly rolling forecasts through consultation and collaboration with group business leaders. Implementing enhancements to reporting and forecasting processes, including monthly cash reviews with business partners

Other:

• Synthesizing large, complex datasets, understanding variances and drawing insights
• Building dynamic financial model forecasts using excel and/or Power Bi
• Working closely with internal teams to develop and refine forecasting methodologies
• Ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or related field

Required Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in an FP&A role

Technical Skills/Abilities:

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a drive to develop an understanding of the overall business
• Deep understanding of how to interpret financial results and provide thoughtful analyses that will help drive strategic decisions throughout the company
• Ability to leverage technology to drive data analytics and distill the related data into concise takeaways for reporting to business leaders and management
• Experience with Sap and Business Object (Bo); experience with Power Bi or other data visualization software is a plus
