Functional Overview:

Neiman Marcus group is looking for its next generation of business leaders to help define and deliver its growth strategy. This comprehensive growth strategy will redefine the luxury customer experience – from leveraging personalization to creating compelling assortments to rethinking our world-class selling and service model to much more.

We need top notch talent to join the Strategy/ PMO group which as part of a cross-functional Transformation Office will drive transformational change across all areas of the business. The Transformation Office includes Strategy, Program Management, Change Management, and Communications.

The Strategy/ PMO team is responsible for providing strategic support and thought leadership to the CEO and other Group Leadership Team (GLT) members. We leverage analysis, structured thinking, and collaboration to drive action and results against initiatives that will provide step-change impact to the NMG value proposition. Lastly, the Strategy team leads Business Development activities for the organization, including exploring partnerships and acquisitions in both domestic and international markets.

Position Summary:

The Neiman Marcus Product Management Team is looking for a Product Manager for Styling who is passionate about advocating for the customer, has excellent product instincts, a passion for creating great experiences, a data-centric mindset, agile thinking, and the willingness to challenge the status quo.

The Product Manager provides key support to the product team by facilitating investigation, analysis, review and documentation of business features and functionality for digital styling experiences across across the customer journey. The Pm will be responsible for organizing and leading feature kickoffs, writing user stories for new features as well as existing feature enhancements and working closely with the design team and channel partners on UI comps. The Product Manager will also serve as a product expert on the team and will be responsible for data analysis and insights that will be used to drive optimizations.

What will you do?

  • Define and deliver against roadmap strategy
  • Consult with key business stakeholders to drive integration of styling experiences into existing or new business and operational processes
  • Responsible for defining requirements for new styling experiences and enhancements to current experiences
  • Manage vendor partners to help solve customer and business problems and collaborate to drive for new innovations in products and services that best meet business needs and strategy
  • Drive definition of strategy and success metrics for our digital products and be accountable for the full product lifecycle
  • Drive the execution of styling strategies within all brands owned digital channels through offers, content, UI/UX, etc.
  • Utilize market research, customer feedback, analytics data, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to guide business needs and identify new opportunities that ensure styling experiences become then remain best in class
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define vision, roadmap, requirements, use cases, supporting business value and product acceptance criteria
  • Balance business needs versus technical and operational constraints when recommending product enhancements or distilling business goals into product requirements
  • Manage priorities, create user flows, and write requirements for a team of engineers
  • Work in a hands-on, collaborative environment with top designers and engineers to build breakthrough experiences and products that solve our users’ most critical needs
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams and data stylists to ensure styling content is on trend and reflects the NMG brand

Here’s What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • An entrepreneurial approach to work and proven track record of shipping successful products to market which exceed user expectations
  • Drive execution and collaborate in a cross-functional, cross channel environment for prioritizing, delivering and launching major product releases
  • Continuously drive towards an MVP and MLP roll-out
  • Ability to understand the technical architecture of data products to assess scope and drive timelines
  • Grounding in human-centered design with a natural empathy for users
  • Strategic thinking and an ability to effectively identify opportunities for growth in new businesses and markets
  • Lead product optimization post-launch, incorporating analytics, customer feedback, and market opportunities to (re)prioritize the roadmap
  • Build cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders critical to the delivery of the product portfolio Prioritize portfolio investment to maximize benefit/return to customers/company based on NMG strategy.
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity
  • Structured communication and storytelling skills with all audiences
  • Experience applying analytical rigor to support technology decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in It, Computer Science, business or other related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a product manager role including: process definition, management and monitoring, feature development, product management and/or requirement definition
  • Proven analytical/technical aptitude evidenced by 2 or more years of successful experience in a quantitative role
  • Experience with Jira

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous retail or eCommerce experience
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
