Job Description

Purpose and Scope

The Retail Operations Manager will provide operational support for all retail locations, outlet stores and retail management leadership teams. This position interacts with interact with corporate business partners in development, project management, execution and communication of store line policies, procedures and practices that maximize productivity and improve the customer store experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies and reduce costs; report findings and recommend solutions and cost savings activities
  • Assist in the development, implementation and supervision of all operational initiatives and policy/procedure development to ensure consistency in execution
  • Review and propose needed changes to operational process in stores and update store documentation (manuals, reference guides, etc.)
  • Assist with logistics of new store openings, closings and renovations (new store supplies, vendor account registration, inventory receipts, stockroom set-up, etc.)
  • Manage and monitor new store projects schedules to ensure budgets and timelines are met; update/revise projects plans
  • Provide regular periodic updates to senior management and other retail management partners (KWI, cash controls, inventory processing, customer transactions)
  • Coordinate all store maintenance and repairs (signage requests, alarm system management, etc.)
  • Responsible for supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting technical day-to-day needs and issues for retail stores
  • Interact with appropriate partners regarding business practices that affect the use of store systems and applications and work closely with It to identify improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with It to resolve KWI and other retail system issues and rollouts
  • Support the implementation of annual inventory counts, off cycle counts and data integrity initiatives
  • Manage and process all invoices for payment and reconciliation
  • Manage LP security codes, alarm, CCTV and open/close reports
  • Current packaging program monitoring and new packaging development
  • Store petty cash and purchase cards coding and submission/reconciliation
  • Oversee store supply replenishment (stationery, hangers, etc.)
  • Reconcile sales commissions and submit to Accounting and Payroll as required
  • Oversee Retail Training Calendar

Position Requirements

  • Strong work ethics
    • Strong communication (written & verbal) and organizational skills
    • Resourceful, hands-on, and able to sense urgency

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in corporate or retail store operations
