Job Description

Position

The Finance Manager, New Businesses works with the E-Commerce, E-Retail, and Mh Private Client teams to develop and support the vision, process, financial planning and performance monitoring of these key business channels in partnership with the Finance team. The Finance Manager, New Business will serve as a key contributor to the implementation of the strategic roadmap, developing accurate forecasts, defining relevant business metrics, monitoring performance, focusing on value creation and acting as a leader and advocate for strategic business decisions in support of the MhUSA 2030 strategy.

Profile

  • Lead the financial and planning cycle of business, including annual budget, forecasts and ad-hoc business updates as needed
  • Oversee and prepare complete P&L, forecasts and actuals for MhUSA New Businesses
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, research, analyze and summarize financial and sales data including depletions and sell-out data
  • Coordinate the determination of depletion goals by business, brands, months with the new businesses teams
  • Perform monthly/quarterly depletion as well as P&L analysis
  • Establish detailed A&P budgets, monitor & analyze effectiveness on a regular basis, and ensure budget is not overspent
  • Act as the liaison between MhUSA and Mh Corporate teams with regards to financial performance of the new businesses
  • Support business updates and preparation for Leadership Team Business Reviews
  • Maintain financial models to project the impact of strategic initiatives in support of the business case, including Roi
  • Analyze internal and marketplace analytics to identify business opportunities
  • Support the business in understanding and optimizing of value creation drivers
  • Identify and analyze cost drivers; provide recommendations and solutions to optimize efficiency and value creation
  • Evaluate the capital needs of the E-Commerce sites (OurCellar & Concierge), including forecast and actuals
  • Support the development of future models and implementation plans to align with strategic initiatives
  • Prepare required reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual communication
  • Develop continuous risk and opportunity views of business outside of routine planning practices
  • Coordinate & communicate regularly with Domaine Chandon teams, hosting MhUSA Dtc platform
  • Review inventory and other balance sheet items related to Dtc activities
  • Ensure proper coordination & communication with Brands Finance Managers and Fp&A Director in charge of consolidation
  • Utilize Sap in order to deliver efficient and effective management information
  • Effectively use business systems tools for budgeting, reporting, tracking and analysis
  • Participate in monthly and year end close in conjunction with the accounting department
  • Gather data from relevant sources within the industry, including market data, historical performance, scorecards and company financials to draw conclusions from the data with the ability to summarize and synthesize as needed
  • Actively participates in business and strategic meetings

Additional Information

Professional Experience

  • Bs/Ba required, MBa a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive financial experience; with managerial experience expected, E-commerce channel &/or Private Clients (Hnwi) channels required
  • Structured, data-driven and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Experience in an international environment and ability to interact successfully with different cultures

Practical/Technical Knowledge

  • Ability to work in a changing environment in a new and complex organization
  • Solid Project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build the business through strong data analytics skills
  • Strong team skills and interest for cross functional interactions
  • Ability to understand customer needs and deliver customer centrics solutions
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Planning Tools such as Essbase / Sap / Anaplan / Power Bi
  • High attention to detail requested
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Can work with limited supervision, deadlines and pressure
