Role Summary:

The Image Editor is responsible for image retouching services as assigned by the Image Edit Manager or Lead Editor within the Saks Image Editing department. This role is responsible for but not limited to the creation of virtual model merchandise pairing, pathing, retouching, video editing, data tracking, managing and maintaining shot lists and various google sheets, as well as reviewing imagery produced as digital content for our e-commerce site. These images are created by in-house and freelance photographers, as well as being provided by external vendors.

The focus of this role is to prepare the images for publication and is primarily responsible for maintaining quality assurance. Any additional required functions will be made using advanced Photoshop techniques such as clipping paths, color matching, eliminating unwanted imperfections such as wrinkles, tears in clothes, dust and rigging tools etc. His/her technical abilities will ensure the consistency and quality of all images processed by the associate. He/she will have a critical eye for detail, art & composition, and be capable of troubleshooting & reconciling imaging issues independently. This associate will also maintain the image database and prepare image transfers for production applications.

Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods and use of the computer for up to 8 hours daily.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Computer Graphics, or Graphic Arts
• Mac proficient with superior expertise using Photoshop, Bridge, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Google Suite
• 2-3 years professional experience in a high-volume studio environment. Portfolio of sample work required
• Time Management skills

Role Description:

• File management, including uploading, downloading, and organization
• Google Sheet management for administrative tasks, such as image sign off
• Video editing using Adobe Premiere
