Description:

The Senior Writer conveys and maintains the Bg brand voice in all print and digital assets, including the homepage, digital & social features, emails, the magazine, store signage, event invitations and additional collateral materials. The Senior Writer is an integral member of the creative team, working daily with the Editor to develop copy for all communications platforms and with the designers to ensure copy is tailored to complement design.

Primary Responsibilities:

Bg.com:

Work with Editor to ensure Bg voice is maintained across online presences, including daily emails, bi-weekly website refreshes, digital ads, and additional marketing collateral. Develop and write features around trends, launches and brand initiatives.

Bg Magazine:

Write display copy for fashion stories, lease with the fashion office to collect assets for trend pages and information on new featured designers and help ensure all deadlines are met. Source imagery for all journalism pages.

  • A minimum of 5 years of writing experience in luxury marketing or publishing, preferably with a background in fashion
  • Working knowledge of Macintosh, proficiency with Word, experience with database tools and knowledge of Internet technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Direct Response or Promotion (or comparable work experience)
  • Strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to art, design, graphics and typography
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects contemporaneously.
