Job Description

Job purpose

Responsible for supporting the Director in leading the Accessories category (Fashion Jewelry, Textiles, Eyewear, Belts, and Hats) for the Americas Boutiques (Usa, Canada, Latin America).

Main responsibilities include building and performing business strategy for the category, leading and developing reporting and sales recaps, driving the buying process, product tool creation, driven market analysis, and allocation/distribution of Women’s Accessories in accordance with company strategic business plans.

Profile tasks and responsibilities:

  • Communicate and Partner very closely with Retail teams on client needs and day to day inquiries
  • Collaborate with corporate partners (Visual Merchandising, Training, Communication & Image, Supply Chain, Retail Performance…)
  • Prepare and analyze weekly sales reports ensuring planned sales and stretch targets are met
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and needs through store visits and competitor analysis
  • Partner with Supply Chain to run flow of inventory and actively lead Permanent products
  • Actively connect with the Paris central merchandising team to provide feedback and outline needs of the market
  • Define store assortment by product category and by store cluster
  • Handle buying process during 4 seasonal markets in Paris:
  • Assist in premarket analysis: by category, store, classification and sizing. See opportunities and present strategy to Director and Senior Director.
  • Assist in defining store assortment by product category and by store cluster
  • Size by Sku and by Boutique based on past sales analysis, boutique feedback, and market opportunities
  • Remain positive, energetic, and organized while meeting tight deadlines during fast-paced and demanding buying sessions
  • Lead Seasonal Reserve process: buy book creation, communication and follow up with boutiques, ensuring client orders are filled accurately; strategically adjust allocations
  • Support store openings and pop ups
  • Lead inventory for store events
  • Work with Director to build action plans and set goals to achieve business objectives
  • Prepare markdowns (prepare selection, negotiate w/Paris office)
  • Provide end of season (Eos) product analysis and final sales report

Additional Informational close partnership with Supply Chain team:

  • Participate in open-to-buy (Otb) discussions and meetings
  • Weekly reviews of consolidation opportunities & store requests
  • Drive monthly reorders
  • Monthly forecast review
  • Prepare and review fast/slow sellers report
  • Discuss replenishment strategy

Requirements:

  • 4 years minimum of Merchandising experience within the luxury industry.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Expertise in other Microsoft Office programs, especially PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of Women’s fashion industry (i.e. competitive landscape and trends)
  • Ability to travel frequently (including international)
