Job Description

The Manager, People Strategy & Programs is a critical role of the People Strategic Initiatives team. This role will report to the Director of People Strategy & Analytics and will lead efforts to establish and drive NMG’s People Strategy and execute against key People initiatives to unlock the potential of our associates and teams. This position will serve as an active partner with People Services and business leaders to consult on a broad range of People Strategy-related topics including workforce planning, associate surveys, associate attraction and selection, competitive advantage, diversity and belonging, and retention. The Manager will also be responsible for the operations and continuous improvement of People Services governance structures and processes to improve the associate value proposition. They will thrive in a dynamic environment, excel at working with a global audience, and enjoy handling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Lead the design and execution of our organizational People Strategy alongside the Director of People Strategy & Analytics
  • Builds people strategies aligned with overall business priorities and KPIs to improve the associate value proposition
  • Prepare executive level presentations and supporting materials, in partnership with People Services leadership and other NMG leaders, as applicable
  • Partner with company leadership to drive complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives that impact all aspects of the business and organization
  • Work cross-functionally to conduct analysis and create deliverables for executives and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with teams to drive innovation, improve processes, and implement new tools
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the People Analytics team to identify and support the development of solutions, programs, and policies that support business and associate growth
  • Lead Pmo and manage specific processes including but not limited to:
    • Managing a portfolio of project(s) and / or workstreams for People initiatives
    • Fielding risks and issues and proactively sharing mitigation strategies
    • Leading the process of developing key deliverables
    • Facilitating project meetings to gather applicable information

  • Owns the operational management of People Services governance structures

  • 5+ years of experience in People / HR professional role; experience as a management consultant using data-driven methods to solve complex human capital-related projects
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Masters preferred (Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior Studies, Business Administration / Management, Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Mid-level experience in a combination of the following areas: organization design, performance management, culture and engagement, learning and development, and / or data analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel with demonstrated experience developing executive-level presentations
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-phased program effort
  • Ability to take multiple and complex inputs and concepts and distill into simple, relevant, and executable strategies that are relevant, pragmatic, easy-to-execute, and drive impact
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and communications insights to stakeholders – as well as to get creative when data does not readily exist
  • Demonstrated ability in leading complex projects and driving results
  • Demonstrated time management skills that enable on-time, high-quality project delivery with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-driven, innovative strategic thinker who is resourceful and able to look beyond existing business and technology limitations
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade, influence, and execute innovative methods and processes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate, influence, collaborate, and work closely both in-function and across the organization
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently within a high pressure, deadline driven environment
