Reporting to the Associate Store Manager of Sales, the Assistant Manager of Appointment Experience is responsible for maximizing the appointment sales productivity at Ssense Montréal. Through our retail concept’s hybrid omni-channel, walk-in, and appointment-based models, the selected candidate will coach the Senior Personal Stylists and Personal Stylists to cultivate client relationships.

Responsibilities

Sales Performance – 20%

  • Ensure sales goals, Kpis and sell-through for all in-store activations are achieved.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the sales floor and providing on-site coaching as required.

Customer Experience – 20%

  • Supervise the appointment customer experience to ensure the highest level of service across pre, during, and post appointment.
  • In partnership with the Associate Manager of Sales and Assistant Manager of Client Experience and Retention:
  • Manage the customer journey through appointment models. This includes productivity, presentations, inventory management, and after sales service to ensure an outstanding customer experience

Operations – 30%

  • Manage Personal Stylist group payroll budgets, to maximise productivity [measured by Sales Per Hour] and enhance customer experience
  • Support, promote, and assume responsibility for asset protection in all areas of risk management. This includes physical security, store cash controls, inventory management and transaction accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance of store operations, health and safety, maintenance and company policies and protocols.

Leadership – 30%

  • Motivate and engage the team in contributing to the achievement of business goals, as well as company’s vision and values
  • Recruit, train and develop talent pipeline while building succession plans.
  • Participate in training programs development and maintenance for all levels of the team based on learning opportunities

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years management experience in a high volume clienteling environment and retail operations
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes (15kg)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Web and computer-savviness
  • Open availability to meet the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships with clients
  • Ability to understanding different learning styles and agility to adapt to others
  • Ability to lead a fast-paced environment, while ensuring an exceptionally high level of customer service across all registers
