Reporting to the Associate Manager of Studio Planning, the Senior Studio Planning Analyst is responsible for short and long-term capacity planning for our best-in-class Studio. They will provide recommendations on budget, resources, tools and physical space requirements to ensure Studio deliverables are on time, cost effective, and meet quality standards. This role works closely with each team in the Studio to translate how they support e-commerce, marketing, editorial, sales, brand development, and ad hoc projects across multiple languages into a 360 capacity plan, ensuring the Studio grows in a healthy and scalable way. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally and requires a collaborative style, with the ability to influence and motivate to drive performance results.

Responsibilities

Planning & Forecasting – 65%

  • Establish high season readiness plans, preparing recommendations to Studio leadership on resource needs (space, time, talent, etc.) and strategic and growth initiatives to meet production requirements
  • Define capacity requirements of the Studio for the following season by collecting and vetting future output estimates (number of e-commerce styles, internal requests, ad hoc projects) and analyzing against historical data and projected throughput metrics for all Studio production teams and key dependencies
  • Adjust in-season style forecasts in collaboration with Fp&A based on actual flow of inventory, adjusting budget and resource plan accordingly with the objective of mitigating sales and margin risk
  • Recommend budget targets on a daily / weekly / monthly basis for e-commerce production, adjusting in-season based on actual flow of inventory, changes to throughput, and/or any other non-planned events

Continuous Improvement & Growth Support – 25%

  • Proactively make recommendations by analyzing metrics and Kpis, to optimize ways of working for cost effectiveness and/or faster time to list
  • Recommend and implement strategic and growth initiatives pertaining to Studio processes, capacity and resource planning, including recruiting cycles, training cycles, and technology enablers
  • Liaise and collaborate with various stakeholders of the Studio, including Finance, Technology, Product, and Real Estate, to socialize strategy , to contribute to data alignment and to ensure integration of growth initiatives.
  • Training and Development – 20%
  • Support the direct Manager with onboarding related tasks, help coach and train a capable and talented Studio Planning Team
  • Maintain and improve the knowledge base through standard, concise and relevant documentation
  • Mentor Studio Planning team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis or project management, e-commerce and/or creative industry experience an asset
  • Demonstrated experience using analytics to improve operations with tangible results and within a tight timeline
  • Prior experience in data processing, manipulating large datasets, querying databases, data analysis, and reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data management and visualization software such as Tableau, an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
