District Manager

As a District Manager, you will provide management to the stores in your district in relation to store standards, training, operations and other projects as required.

You will support the Regional in driving the performance of stores in the district, leading, motivating and developing the teams, setting high standards of store presentation and service levels, and ensuring the smooth running of all operations. You will be a key liaison between stores and head office departments to ensure opportunities to drive sales and efficiencies in stores are maximized.


  • Business Focus
    • Drive district performance to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Provide accurate reports on store performance to the Regional US.
    • Drive sales through innovative approaches and techniques, drive company initiatives on client sales and client acquisition strategies as required.
    • Manage budgets and coordinate with/report to the Regional US. 
    • Minimize costs across the portfolio through ensuring effective rota planning, especially in key trading hours, utilization of hours, overheads expense, loss prevention.
    • Proactively manage relationships with relevant stakeholders as required. 
    • Proactively manage relationships with internal departments to help achieve store targets and improve efficiencies.
  • Operations
    • Oversee all operational practices of the stores in the district, ensuring this is kept to the highest possible standards, that they are well organized and properly merchandised at all times; and that all policies, procedures, and controls are followed.
    • Responsible for all operational practices of  the boutiques, making sure that each runs smoothly and meets targets.
    • Manage loss prevention/stock control measures across boutiques to ensure shrinkage is within company guidelines in order to protect company property and assets
    • Ensure all stores are regularly audited for compliance with company standards and take necessary action to quickly remedy any issues.
  • Client Service
    • Ensure that our boutiques deliver exceptional service to our clients – ensuring that all client service and CRM initiatives are in place, dealing with issues quickly and taking action to improve where necessary.
    • Ensure boutiques support any marketing campaigns and promotions effectively.
    • Make recommendations to management in order to grow market share, improve client experience and drive growth.
  • People
    • Coach, support, motivate, encourage and develop your Store Managers within the district.
    • Act as the first point of contact for Store Manager queries, escalating these to the Regional US if necessary. 
    • Manage performance through effective goal/target setting, constructive feedback, regular 1-1s and the company’s formal performance management procedures. 
    • Responsible for the recruitment and selection of Store Managers and supporting Store Managers with their recruitment needs if required. 
    • Work with HR on the management of store employee relations matters, ensuring escalation to the Head of HR if this is appropriate. 
    • Provide any training to Store Managers and the team related to all areas of effective operations, and ensure company training initiatives are carried out to timescales required.
    • Ensure all HR and payroll administration is completed by Store Managers accurately and on time.
    • Support and run induction programs for new Store Managers.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Wider Regional Support
    • Support the Regional US as required with on-going coaching and development of Store Managers.
    • Support on projects across the US region as required. 
    • Deputize on business reporting and other administrative reports as required.
