Job Description

The Category Management Analyst for Fine Watches will partner with regional merchandising teams to drive watch visibility and sales within the North America market while also managing High Jewelry projects.

Responsibilities

North America Fine Watches Analysis

  • Partner with local merchandising manager to analyze regional forecast and present strategy back to leadership team
  • Distill market feedback into market intelligence that helps to inform product roadmap
  • Support creation of product area information and present to regional teams, highlighting key strategies and initiatives via monthly and quarterly meetings.
  • Perform assortment analysis for the Watch category within North America by collection, classification, and price point to provide recommendations for assortment changes, improvements to maximize sales and productivity, identify regional trends, and recommend assortment strategies when appropriate.
  • Support the development of reports and presentations that communicate a high-level view of new product introductions and current assortments.

In Store Strategic Execution

  • Partner with Global Assortment Planning, Creative Visual Merchandising and store design to implement global in-store presentations
  • Visit stores to amplify watch strategies and ensure visibility and accuracy of watch presentation
  • Collaborate with Global Learning & Development teams
  • Communicate key initiatives, new product launches, assortments, discontinuations, re-class and pricing to cross functional teams.
  • Partner with market leaders to create and implement in-store watch event strategy

High Jewelry Watch Sales Support and Business Development

  • Manage cross functional High Jewelry watch tracker
  • Liaise with Product Development team to share key deliverable dates
  • Partner with Replenishment team on movement of HJ watches to ensure all pieces are present for assigned events.
  • Partner with High Jewelry team to deliver product specs and manage sample photography to support regional High Jewelry events
  • Propose hero SKUS for PR and celebrity wardrobing
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to ensure Fine Watches category is aligned with High Jewelry at all times
  • Execute monthly reports on HJ business

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years prior Merchandising or Retail experience, preferably with a luxury brand
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to lead others and function effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and uphold departmental standards and business direction
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Process and detail oriented
  • Possesses overall aesthetic sensibility
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel) with ability to learn new software
  • Undergraduate College degree
  • Knowledge of luxury watch industry
  • Watch product knowledge
