Etro – Business Planning Analyst

Overview:

We’re excited to announce a new position in our New York City office: The Business Analyst will bring data-driven insight to help shape the multi-channel strategy for the North American Business. Working directly with executive Team, this person will be the liaison between the North American Business teams in Retail, Outlet, Ecommerce, and Wholesale Channels and Headquarters in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a process of codification and attribution of products, create consistency within this area to be used for all product related reference and summaries.

  • Introduce Open to Buy Planning to translate Financial targets into a Monthly Flow of Sales and Inventory specific to each Channel. Utilize as a reporting mechanism on a Monthly basis to understand the performance to Plan and Comp historical time-periods, and all contributing Kpi metrics.

  • Build out a database for storing Sales and Inventory for each Channel. Bring a unique perspective and discipline to Weekly, Monthly and In-Season reporting.

  • Conduct Hindsight and End-of-Season analysis for Sell-In (Showroom) and Sell-Out (End-Consumer), identifying opportunities in assortment expansion/editing, performance based on product related attributes, and distribution strategies within each Channel.

  • Introduce Key Item Planning to maintain ideal model stock in Core/Carryover items associated with future projected production.

  • Provide additional analytical support and with cross-functional teams as needed.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in product specific analytical role, ideally within Planning/Allocation and a Multi-Channel scope.

  • Highly proficient with using Excel to organize data in multiple formats, and building smart templates with advanced formulas to semi-automate the refresh of data for reoccurring reports.

  • Astute to prompting good qualitative feedback from various teams, and raising noteworthy points and probing questions as related to quantitative data-points.

  • Experienced in using Powerpoint to deliver a clear narrative and point of view, with emphasis on content, format and visual presentation.

  • Exceptional communication skills, comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization. Bi-lingual Italian a plus!

  • Proven track record of tying performance to specific action points, and following through on the execution of strategy.
