Job Description

Role Summary:

The Talent & Experience Programs consultant is responsible for driving and maintaining organizational effectiveness strategies that support the overall employee experience at Saks. They will lead the design, development and delivery of all programs and initiatives, including Talent Management/Performance Management, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement (Voice of Employee) and Culture. This individual will partner with People Business Partners, in addition to stakeholders such as People Operations, Internal Communications and Business Operations, to continue driving the employee experience across these processes. This is a six month consulting assignment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience & specialist knowledge within Organizational Development, Talent Management, Performance Management and/or Employee Experience
  • BA or BS degree; with an MBA or MA in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience implementing organizational development strategies at a complex organization
  • Successful track record in leading large-scale initiatives
  • Solutions oriented, with superior problem-solving skills and ability to make logical, complex decisions in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills, including both verbal and written communications
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills to influence strategy and decisions to Senior leaders
  • Strong managerial skills to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Workspace (Mail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)

Role Description

  • Lead team of three in refining and delivering talent and experience programs; excellent execution of talent management framework and performance management process, Voice of Employee program strategy, and Learning and Development strategy
  • Be knowledgeable and/or conduct research on talent management, Voice Of Employee survey, and learning and development best practices in order to develop resources and advise on best practices and benchmarks
  • Successfully partner with senior leaders, serving as a credible and trusted resource
  • Be a strategic thinker and thought leader to advise Senior leadership on organizational effectiveness strategies
  • Act as a thought partner to People Business Partners
