Job Description

Your Mission

As a Fragrance & Accessories Ambassador of the Maison, you will help your boutique exceed fragrance and accessory sales targets, while elevating each guest’s personal Cartier journey through an emotional experience. You motivate and educate the boutique team to develop cross-selling in the Welcoming Offer categories for Cartier North America, and are an active participant in the daily operations of the boutique.

Create exceptional client experiences resulting in strong fragrance & accessories sales

  • Support the boutique to achieve and/or exceed monthly fragrance and accessories sales targets
  • Ensure that each client and visitor receives an exceptional welcoming experience, leveraging any waiting period (before or after the appointment) to subtly introduce fragrance and accessories as an emotional component of the Cartier universe and a perfect gifting option
  • Partner with Sales Associates during client appointments to encourage and present cross-category selling opportunities
  • Process fragrance and/or accessory sales for Sales Associates, if needed
  • Expertly uncover clients’ needs and expectations about fragrance and accessories (for self-purchases and gifts), while handling objections or pushback with ease

Develop and grow fragrance and accessories clientele

  • Initiate client outreach by leveraging client lists provided by corporate Client Development team to cultivate enduring brand loyalty
  • Foster authentic connections with new and existing clients resulting in long-term and trusted relationships that lead to the sale of products
  • Enrich Crm database with notes on client preferences and milestone celebrations
  • Host private fragrance / accessories appointments for clients and their friends & family
  • Identify clients with interest and potential to grow into additional categories, and direct them to a trusted Sales Associate to continue their Cartier journey

Act as a referent for the fragrance and accessories categories in the boutique

  • Support execution of all fragrance and accessories initiatives (such as new furniture installation, events, new launch introductions, sampling etc.) in partnership with boutique management and corporate stakeholders
  • Maintain inventory of fragrance testers and ensure their presence on selling tables
  • Ensure sufficient product stock levels and inclusion of fragrance samples with every boutique order
  • Raise awareness, product knowledge and passion for fragrance and accessories across the entire boutique team by hosting weekly learning moments during morning meetings
  • Share relevant client and team feedback with fragrance and accessories product teams and suggest actions for improvement

Support daily boutique operations

  • Understand and comply with all security and operational policies and procedures for the Group, Maison and Boutique
  • Assist with daily set-up, merchandising and breakdown of the boutique
  • Organize back-stock and participate in inventory procedures for accessories and fragrance product
  • Communicate any maintenance issues on fragrance wall, tables or accessory displays
  • Implement Boutique Manager / team members’ feedback

Your Profile

  • 2 – 5 years of experience in luxury retail, service or hospitality environment
  • General knowledge and interest in perfume and accessory categories
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptable sales approach according to client needs and motivations
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with team-player approach to achieving success
  • Structured and vigorous in follow-through
