Job Description

The main purpose of this position is to capture and detail business requirements to support development and improvements of business applications.

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for developing a deep knowledge of supported business areas, conducting business requirement sessions, documenting current and to-be process flows and crafting detailed requirements documents to support development.

The Senior Business Analyst will be in charge in collaboration with the Technical Analyst and/or development team for crafting the solutions. Will conduct solutioning sessions, document systems flows, and contribute to crafting user stories to support the development team.

In addition, the Senior Business Analyst will support testing by creating test cases with business counter parts and assisting with the quality assurance process.

Responsibilities:

  • Document current and to-be process flows using user roles, use cases, edit rules, wireframes, and other system specifications in detail.
  • Conducts requirements sessions with domain experts. Provides mentorship in formulating new requirements and strives to improve business processes by coming up with creative and alternative approaches to solving business problems.
  • Handles scope and user expectations by ensuring requirements are met within existing project budgets and timeframes. Assists Project Managers in development of detailed project plans. Monitors progress to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Delivery of improvements and projects following the formal planning, tracking and reporting mechanisms that align to the project management office (Pmo) standards
  • Endorsing the Project Managers role for some initiatives. Monitors progress to ensure project deliverables are met. Track progress to plan. Communicates status to project team members and management.
  • Identifies and understands business strategy, issues and opportunities and assists business partners in identifying and prioritizing new initiatives and capabilities.
  • Assists in developing test cases and participates in the quality assurance process to ensure that requirements are accurately implemented. Assists in producing user training documentation and works with the business to train users.
  • If needed, contributes with the Application Support Team that problems are being actively resolved.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in an It Business Analyst role
  • Hands on experience in requirements capturing, design, development, and testing of applications
  • Proven experience detailing use cases and functional requirements
  • Excellent Business Process Knowledge, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business users, stakeholders, product managers and developers
  • Crafts samples of design documents as well as operational documentation may be requested
  • Demonstrated experience detailing use cases and functional requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross functional departments in requirements sessions
  • Ability to detail and document requirements in Jira or comparable project management tool
  • Experience working in a large sophisticated technical and business environment
  • Experience with large scale eCommerce platform
  • Prior knowledge of eCommerce engines (Preferably SFCC), PIM products (Preferably Akeneo), Search engines (Preferably Algolia), and Dam solutions
  • Sensitivity to the multi-cultural characteristics of a global It organization

Preferred:

  • Experience business analysis and business process modeling
  • Experience in multiple technology platforms
  • Experience with global & luxury brands / Retail
  • Previous experience working on large transformational initiatives / re-platforms
  • Prior hands-on technical experience (i.e. coding/development on application systems)
  • Understanding of fundamental web applications concepts (Caching, Apis, Data Objects, Cms systems etc)
