Under the responsibility of the set coordination team leader, as set coordinator, you will be in charge of coordinating all the parameters relating to the set and thus ensuring the smooth running of the daily photo shoots and compliance with the corresponding requirements in our incomparable studio. You will be responsible for coordinating people, processes and merchandise, thus enabling production teams to meet service level agreements and provide an update on the progress of projects, regardless of the kind of photo shoot planned. In this cross-functional position, you will need to demonstrate a strong spirit of collaboration and be able to convince and instill the motivation necessary to obtain a certain performance.
Responsibilities
Production management – ​​80%
- Work with studio producers to track full completion of planned visuals, ensuring photoshoots are completed on time and to SSENSE standards and guidelines
- Take part in various studio activities, from projects, strategic initiatives and exceptional launches, providing visibility on the status of the assigned production throughout the process
- Receive the daily workload related to the photo shoots, ensure the proper preparation of the goods keeping in mind the production requirements, report and escalate any problem or risk by providing information on what could harm the production perimeter, resource prioritization or planning
- Monitor the progress of photo shoots within the same day, following up with relevant parties and recommending action plans to manage delays that may jeopardize content, quality or schedule
- Track results using a variety of tools to provide visibility into studio operations for day-to-day digital commerce to enable measurement and reporting related to Kpis and operational flows
- Provide on-set stylists with upcoming outfits and ensure that garments are handled according to Ssense housekeeping standards
- Enter information on all silhouettes created for our digital commerce platform by managing element associations
- Prepare the items to ensure their correct return to stock at the end of each working day, by appropriate labeling and monitoring of their condition
- Ensure constant cleanliness, security and order on set by ensuring proper use of equipment
Training and development – ​​10%
- Support the team in charge of stage coordination in its tasks related to welcoming new recruits and contribute to the support and training of a team composed of stage assistants, coordinator Freelance and 3rd party board s to achieve maximum level of skills and talent
Continuous improvement – ​​10%
- Identify opportunities to improve day-to-day operations and productivity with regards to processes and inventory management
- Contribute to projects that improve business performance through optimized on-set procedures to support studio art direction, visual production and other strategic opportunities
Qualifications
- College or university degree in fashion marketing, business management or related field
- A minimum of one year of experience in coordination or logistics in the field of fashion or digital commerce
- Knowledge of different textiles and care of clothing
- Experience in the apparel industry an asset
- Good command of Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheets
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Knowledge of fashion, styling and photography, an asset
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to walk up to 5 km per day while carrying gear or stand for long periods of time, when necessary
