Job Description

Job mission

This individual will report to the Director of Visual Merchandising in the coordination and implementation of all Cartier visual merchandising and display functions for midwestern retail boutiques including: general visual merchandising and display, developing and communicating presentations for all installations and visual initiatives, standards and guidelines; handling display for special events and installing new window and coordination of seasonal themes and product launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing a visual merchandising strategy for the stores
  • Ensuring the strategy is in line with the store’s brand, products, and target market.
  • Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store.
  • Creating detailed floor plans for display areas.
  • Ordering the props, creative materials, and accessories for displays.
  • Coordinate seasonal theme windows installations of all the boutiques on the region and any relevant freelance hires are required to complete installations in a timely fashion.
  • Changing displays to promote new product launches or to reflect festive or seasonal themes.
  • Liaising with other retail professionals, including marketing, and retail merchandisers, Pr events, Press when necessary.
  • Monitor travel expenses and budgets related to custom creative projects.
  • Researching lifestyle and design trends that will inform the visual merchandising strategy.
  • Catalogue and maintain photo files and database of seasonal theme windows, concept displays and dimensions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bs degree in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar

Required experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the field visual merchandise management, including: window displays, interior displays and space utilization.

Technical Skills/ abilities

  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Photoshop, illustrator, or other visual design tools.

Personal skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong professional with analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Has the flexibility and ability to learn quickly.
  • Proactive in anticipating and planning projects.
