Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, employees, merchandise, and physical spaces by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response, and maintaining store safety. Works with store leadership, law enforcement, and investigation teams to resolve incidents and reduce shrinkage. Participates in security audits, training, and uses surveillance and RFID systems to monitor and support investigations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality apprehensions and resolve theft while adhering to policy and procedures.
- Monitor video and surveillance systems to detect and investigate suspicious activity.
- Identify theft trends and implement shrinkage reduction action plans and merchandise protection standards.
- Support and escalate internal theft investigations and gather evidence for cases.
- Use RFID and reporting tools to analyze merchandise movement and aid investigations.
- Respond to, escalate, and report security incidents and medical emergencies to maintain safety.
- Lead security audits, participate in store meetings, and provide shrinkage awareness and training.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
- Testify in court when summoned and build partnerships with law enforcement and neighboring retailers.
