Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager is a results oriented sales and coaching role responsible for maximizing sales for assigned luxury beauty brands through personalized service, makeup applications, skincare consultations and digital selling. The role involves scheduling and executing vendor events, maintaining a customer ready counter, building vendor relationships and supporting team performance in a commissioned sales environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products aligned with customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in store and digital tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor and customer relationships to maximize business results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and assist with Nordstrom Rewards account enrollment
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive customer environment
- Keep the beauty counter organized, clean and customer ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application and skincare with strong customer service skills
- Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns and contribute to a positive team environment
- Strong multitasking, organization and follow through abilities
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in networking and technology for selling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours with frequent bending and reaching
- Capability to lift regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
