The Beauty Counter Manager delivers personalized beauty experiences, drives counter sales for an assigned luxury brand, and mentors team members in a commission driven retail environment. This role balances hands on makeup and skincare services with sales leadership, vendor collaboration, and maintaining an inviting counter presentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses tailored to customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales targets using in store and digital channels including social media and text
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to support business results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in loyalty programs
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive welcoming environment
- Maintain counter organization and cleanliness to keep department customer ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through training
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends based on business needs
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, trends, makeup application, and skincare
- Strong customer connection skills and ability to handle customer concerns
- Excellent multitasking, organization, and follow through
- Drive to achieve sales goals and aptitude for networking and technology
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform bending reaching and lifting
- Capacity to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
