Job Description

Summary

The Director Strategic Partnerships is a 12 month contract reporting to the VP Strategic Partnerships to identify and manage strategic vendor relationships, drive financial outcomes, and lead a small team. This role supports partnership strategy development, execution of event and marketing initiatives, and ongoing negotiation to optimize assortment and profitability while aligning with company vision.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to meet and exceed financial targets for the partnerships portfolio
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align goals and company vision
  • Build and maintain executive level relationships with strategic vendor partners
  • Identify new business partners and maximize partnership opportunities
  • Execute event strategies to drive traffic and sales and meet high value customer expectations
  • Work with vendors and merchants to optimize product assortment and address regional opportunities
  • Monitor sales performance to rationalize category representation and brand selection
  • Participate in negotiations to secure favorable partnership terms
  • Lead and develop a team member and implement annual sales and margin targets

Requirements

  • Post secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of relevant post university retail experience
  • High proficiency in MS Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven negotiation skills and strong business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with data for reporting purposes
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Passion for fashion and luxury retailing
