Summary
The Director Strategic Partnerships is a 12 month contract reporting to the VP Strategic Partnerships to identify and manage strategic vendor relationships, drive financial outcomes, and lead a small team. This role supports partnership strategy development, execution of event and marketing initiatives, and ongoing negotiation to optimize assortment and profitability while aligning with company vision.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to meet and exceed financial targets for the partnerships portfolio
- Collaborate with internal departments to align goals and company vision
- Build and maintain executive level relationships with strategic vendor partners
- Identify new business partners and maximize partnership opportunities
- Execute event strategies to drive traffic and sales and meet high value customer expectations
- Work with vendors and merchants to optimize product assortment and address regional opportunities
- Monitor sales performance to rationalize category representation and brand selection
- Participate in negotiations to secure favorable partnership terms
- Lead and develop a team member and implement annual sales and margin targets
Requirements
- Post secondary degree or equivalent experience
- 7 years of relevant post university retail experience
- High proficiency in MS Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel
- Strong project management skills
- Proven negotiation skills and strong business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with data for reporting purposes
- Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Passion for fashion and luxury retailing
