Summary
Responsible for buying, sales performance and execution of merchandising strategy for Women’s Leather Goods and Haute Parfumerie across North America. Leads assortment planning, inventory optimization, and cross functional collaboration to drive seasonal growth and profitability while supervising one direct report.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze sales reports and performance tools for buying sessions
- Define store by store SKU assortment strategy with Merchandising Director
- Oversee and validate order entry ensuring accuracy and timing
- Partner with Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain, CRM, Training, Sales Planning and Digital teams
- Monitor daily and weekly sales performance and lead in season actions
- Collaborate with store teams to identify local market needs
- Manage inventory, consolidations and inter store transfers to minimize sleeping stock
- Build market intelligence through competitor benchmarking and pricing studies
- Supervise and develop a merchandising trainee
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in fashion or luxury buying
- Minimum of 2 years of people management experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and business acumen
- Significant exposure to store environments and regional operations
- Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
- Willingness to travel frequently domestically and internationally
- Fluent English; French a plus
