Summary
Seasonal retail cashier and sales floor support position providing excellent customer service at the point of sale, assisting customers with transactions, returns and order fulfillment while maintaining a high standard of presentation on the sales floor.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person and over the phone with sales, returns and other transactions
- Operate the cash wrap and process purchases accurately and efficiently
- Support sales floor by straightening, lightly cleaning and restocking merchandise
- Help with order fulfillment and order pick up as needed
- Communicate product knowledge and current fashion trends to aid customer purchase decisions
- Promote store programs such as gift cards and rewards
- Prioritize multiple customer requests in a fast paced environment
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching and handling merchandise
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and follow through
- Problem solving ability and customer focus
- Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new applications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Capable of continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
- Regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
