Job Description

Summary

The Senior Design Planner at Nordstrom in Seattle is responsible for delivering innovative and well-planned visual merchandising strategies that support product selling and brand standards. This role requires strong partnerships with key stakeholders to influence how visual merchandising drives business and highlights Nordstrom as a fashion leader.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and implement new merchandising ideas aligned with divisional strategies.
  • Influence store presentations, including customer journey and merchandise presentation.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive new ideas and enhance customer experience.
  • Review business reports to inform strategy proposals and drive current business needs.
  • Research competitive landscape to stay on top of current and future presentations.
  • Work with cross-divisional teams on store communications and marketing alignment.
  • Assist with brand launches and activations, maintaining communication tools for store executions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in visual merchandising management.
  • Proven knowledge of fashion trends and visual merchandising techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and Adobe suite (preferred).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as required.
