Responsibilities
- Develop and manage assortment strategies aligned to financial plans and product priorities
- Partner with Buying Leadership to design annual and multi-year divisional strategies
- Manage portfolio to maximize financial outcomes and ensure fiscal discipline
- Lead assortment planning teams to drive performance based on objective standards
- Partner cross-functionally to align priorities and implement division-wide initiatives
- Participate in supplier budget planning and communication for alignment
- Identify and develop merchant leaders and build a high performing team
- Act as a change leader to support adoption of new processes and initiatives
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in retail buying or assortment planning
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of direct and indirect reports
- Strategic planning experience translating vision into executable initiatives
- Proven ability to leverage data to build business cases and influence leaders
- Strong prioritization, delegation, and collaborative problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate in ambiguity
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
