As an Assistant Loss Prevention Specialist, you will support, coordinate and implement programs, policies and procedures to minimize the loss of merchandise, cash flow, company-owned assets, while considering the health and safety aspect of the omnichannel model of the sales industry. You will oversee and participate in the training of staff members, in addition to collaborating with the management team and business partners. Responsibilities

Loss prevention activities – 70%

• Perform undercover duties including, but not limited to, floor checks, support the store through inspections, and provide feedback on all aspects of Ssense regarding standards on prevention, safety and the losses
• Conduct audits and verifications to prevent theft and fraudulent activity, target potential losses, building security, inventory control, compliance and employee awareness
• Support action plans in development to reduce losses and meet operational compliance in partnership with sales leadership
• Participate in store projects, corporate activities (facilities, schedules, etc.) and committees, including health and safety
• Create and maintain a professional relationship with all internal partners, local law enforcement agencies and other vendors
• Support the leadership team with inventory preparation and processing
• Effectively use closed circuit camera systems and electronic alarm systems for items
• In addition to assisting in their resolution, document suspected and confirmed thefts, policy violations, and program compliance breaches of SSENSE , including, but not limited to, all internal and external investigations
• Support the conduct of internal investigations as needed, in a confidential manner
• Respond quickly to emergencies and ensure appropriate follow-up through event reporting
• Testify in court on behalf of the company, regardless of the case, at the criminal or civil level, when called upon to appear

Training – 30%

• Ensure that the store team has the necessary knowledge and skills
• Maintain and lead specific introductions and training in fraud prevention, staff awareness, and health and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of work experience in loss and/or asset prevention, in a high volume customer interaction and sales operations environment
• Experience in handling emergency situations (thefts, first aid, fire alarms)
• Provincial guard certification required
• First aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification required
• Expertise with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Mandatory flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, depending on business needs
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing or sitting for long periods of time, as well as other activities essential to the duties of the position
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.
• Experience in the use of physical security and e-commerce systems (CCTV systems, electronic article surveillance systems, alarms, access control, lock, key, service delivery, online transactions, etc. .)
• Fluency in English and French, both oral and written
• Certification related to kinetic interviewing techniques or other certifications that relate to interviewing or interviewing techniques, an asset
