About The Job

The Operations Guide will assist guests with a seamless journey through the Atelier from start to finish. They believe in the power of hospitality, attention to detail, and excellent service. They take pride in their ability to warmly assist guests and meet their needs and expectations while at the Atelier. This can include everything sharing product knowledge, orienting guests to the flow of the Atelier and facilitating a seamless and satisfying check-in and check-out process. The Operations Guide oversees day to day operational needs including but not limited to inventory management, supply ordering, and back of house efficiencies.

What You’ll Do

Guest Experience

  • Give a smile and warm welcome for every guest that enters the Atelier, creating a sense of belonging for all
  • Convey an elevated level of polish and professionalism
  • Confidently answer guest questions i.e. product, price, recycling initiatives, booking of services and events
  • Assist guests as they navigate through the Atelier, encouraging profile usage, experiencing products and generously offering to like/add products to cart when guests need an extra set of hands
  • Provide guests with an overview of services and events in-person and virtually
  • Support, troubleshoot and document any guest profile issues
  • Manage traffic flow and direct guests within the Atelier
  • Agility in responding to ad-hoc front of house requests and Zendesk inquiries
  • Assist in pulling product in preparation for events or guest services
  • Efficiently identify products to fulfill guest orders with a high level of comfort in transacting sales using technology systems
  • Package products purchased by guests in line with visual merchandising standards
  • Support in restocking and management of all guest amenities: towels, tools, etc.
  • Multi-tasking to give guests the attention they need without losing sight of other activities

House Standards

  • Maintain immaculate hygiene standards in all areas including tools and zones
  • Ensure guest safety, cleanliness and satisfaction
  • Organize any items leaving the Atelier including laundry, waste, returns and coordinate their pick-up, if needed
  • Supports in opening and closing procedures
  • Key holding responsibilities, which may include opening and or closing the Atelier.
  • Ensure guest safety, cleanliness and satisfaction
  • Ability to participate in a work climate of respect and teamwork to achieve goals

Physical Demands

  • Standing and sitting intermittently for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move heavy items – may include overhead lifting, pulling and pushing of items up to 25 lbs.
  • Reaching above or bending below shoulder level.
  • Repetitive actions in navigation the Atelier Parfum fragrance bar and using tools.
  • Repetitive cleaning and preparation of fragrance tools.
  • Maintaining and wiping surfaces and replenishing tools.

Other Requirements

  • Passion for the beauty industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable team player who openly communicates availability and active willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • A multi-tasking pro who can flex between several focuses or projects at a time.
  • Strong ability to use technology and curiosity to learn new systems to support the guest experience.

Education And Work Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in retail, back of house management.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Retail Operations, cycle counts, inventory experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated passion for the beauty industry and skill in guest-centric fragrance experience.
