Job Description

About the Role

As part of the Learning & Development team at David Yurman, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of learning and development programs that build world-class experiences for our corporate and retail employees. Specifically, you will be accountable for creating training and educational programs related to skills training, new hire onboarding, product launches, and new process or policy implementations, among other areas for our colleagues, using a variety of instructional methods.

In this role, you will also be responsible for strategizing and developing new learning methodologies to meet our learner needs, project managing large-scale projects and lead team initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex business problems and will assess curriculum improvement opportunities, revise training collaterals and make recommendations as necessary.

What you’ll do

  • Consult with cross-functional leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders to determine potential learning solutions.
  • Develop targeted and engaging learning content for corporate, retail and wholesale audiences
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods with supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, etc.)
  • Evaluate training data to improve training effectiveness
  • Work with the L&D team and internal stakeholders to design learning assessments
  • Recommend strategic, innovative approaches for corporate and retail learning programs that support the company’s operations.
  • Collaborate with learning and development team or vendors to develop and design learning solutions.
  • Leverage adult learning theory and instructional design systems with effective application in an agile, fast-paced business setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and consulting abilities cross-functionally, cross-culturally and cross-levels.
  • Demonstrate ability to write effective, instructional text, audio/video scripts, interactions, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to influence others effectively.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing learning programs, preferably in the luxury, retail industry.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in luxury, jewelry, retail and/or consumer goods environment(s) highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Docebo LMS a plus

  • Demonstrate knowledge of retail operations, business strategy, goals and how learning contributes to organizational success.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation, with a track record for delivering to plan.
  • Proven experience to handle multiple projects simultaneously and is comfortable and successful in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills/Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Learning Authoring and Content Management Systems (LCMs)
  • Adobe Illustrator, video and image editing tools

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design or a related field.
